Cindy Gilbert was born and raised in Casa Grande, Arizona. As a graduate of Casa Grande Union High School, she attended Arizona State University where she also enjoyed being an ASU Cheerleader. She was able to cheer in the Holiday Bowl as well as the Rose Bowl for the ASU Football Team. After graduating from ASU with a Degree in Elementary Education, she married her High School Sweetheart and moved to Chicago, Illinois where her husband, Stephen, worked on the Midwest Stock Exchange. While the experience was fantastic and the friendships forged in the Midwest were amazing, the cold weather was too much for this Arizona girl.
It wasn’t long before Cindy, Stephen and firstborn son moved to San Diego. Now this California weather was very agreeable to the Gilbert Family. They decided to put down roots and add three more children to the mix. Two sons and two daughters was the final score. Their first apartment was in Mira Mesa, first home was in Rancho Penasquitos, second home was in Poway, third home and forth homes were in Escondido. The vast majority of the 30 years in California was lived in Poway, which is well known for great schools. The children ultimately attended a mixture of private schools, public schools and homeschool.
Cindy worked as Director of Operations for Trademark Venues in San Marcos, California for 3 years. Trademark Venues is a premier wedding company offering full service with many venue locations to choose from.
Cindy earned her Real Estate License in California and worked as Director of Operations for Team Foote Real Estate through June 2020.
In May 2020, the Gilberts decided it was time to return home. Verrado caught their eyes online but completely stole their hearts when they visited in person. One weekend road trip was all it took to know they were ready to put their Escondido home on the market and buy in Verrado. On the hottest day of the year, July 31, 2020, the Gilberts plus family and friends moved into their new Verrado home. Did the heat make them nervous about their decision? No! As a matter of fact, it cemented their decision. If they could unload a moving van, unpack boxes and set up their home on the hottest day of the year and be so happy, excited and full of laughter, there was nothing that could stop them from living Happily Ever After… Arizona Style!!
